A Note to all Senior Families
Senior Families –
The Grad Nite Committee is excited to announce “A New Vision 2020” and our plans for a fun, entertaining and SAFE graduation night for our students. After many agonizing months of negotiation and looking at both pros and cons, our committee has decided to pull out of the Centre Concord event. Two other schools had made the decision to withdraw from the collaboration and so both the financial cost of the event and the increased number of volunteers needed proved to be cost prohibitive to move forward. We also spoke to various alumni about the need for change and so a decision was made that we feel best served our student community.
Luxury buses will transport students from the graduation site at the Pavilion to the flagship location of Dave & Busters in Daly City. Students will be greeted with a full buffet dinner (7 food stations), unlimited non-alcoholic beverages and a full churro bar for dessert. This will be a private event closed to the public and students will not be allowed to leave the facility. Dave & Busters will provide extra security in addition to our parent chaperones. Students will be allowed unlimited play of the various arcade and virtual reality games, karaoke, dancing, quiet/movie room and raffle prizes. Also back by popular demand is our British hypnotist, who is planning an unforgettable show for our kids. Following the show, the students will be treated to a breakfast buffet before boarding the buses home to College Park. Expected arrival back at school will be @ 5 am. Students will need to make their own transportation arrangements home from College Park.
Grad Nite was established 20+ years ago to provide kids a senior celebration in a SAFE, DRUG and ALCOHOL-FREE ENVIRONMENT. Parents can sleep easy knowing their kids are supervised and secure.
To ensure a successful event we need VOLUNTEERS. As an added incentive, all adults who volunteer to chaperone the overnight event will receive 50% off their student’s Grad Nite ticket. Undergrad parents who volunteer all night will receive a 50% off discount for a future Grad Nite. The majority of our committee consists of Senior families and we need to ensure that future Falcon graduates will continue to enjoy a Grad Nite event. We encourage all interested volunteers to come and attend our next meeting on Thursday, March 19th @ 7pm in the library. A Sign-Up Genius will be available on our website for the various volunteer opportunities that are needed to ensure a successful event.
We encourage families to purchase their tickets NOW! It’s not too late to enter our drawing for a FREE Senior Ball Ticket. The first 150 people to purchase a ticket will be entered into the drawing on March 19th. The deadline to purchase tickets will be Friday, May 8th, 2020. No exceptions! No tickets will be sold after this date. If you have any questions or concerns about the event, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
